m:IQ works on Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 2 and 3.x, and Safari 3.x and 4.x. We discontinued support for Internet Explorer 6 because the quality of the m:IQ experience on this browser was considerably lower than what users of other browsers experience.
The m:IQ website shows up to 1,000 of your most recent text messages. Any texts above 1,000 are still stored in the system but not available to view at this time. The ability to view and search additional texts will be addressed in a future release of m:IQ.
Contacts will only import if they have an email address attached to them. Please check that your contacts contain a valid email address and this should fix the problem.
The import tool will only import the contact name and email address into m:IQ.
Currently we do not have a resolution for this problem.
The bookmark sync functionality was designed for the phone's default browser and does not work with other browsers like Opera.
In order to preserve your bandwidth, media changes do not sync back down to the phone. In other words, an image rotated on the web site will remained rotated on miqlive.com but will not be reflected on your phone.
The BlackBerry client does not sync text messages created before m:IQ was installed. Also, the BlackBerry client will not sync text messages that were created or received while the client is not running.
Other applications installed on your BlackBerry that use your text messages can conflict with m:IQ. With more than one application attempting to use the text messages, sometimes the other app takes priority. If you disable the other application it should restore text sync to m:IQ.
Some known applications that conflict with m:IQ are:
Phones distributed by your corporation may have limited functionality due to security restrictions from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). Not certain if you are on BES or not? Ask your internal IT contact.
Unlike other Open OS mobile phone platforms, BlackBerry does not support the types of developer APIs that we need in order for us to offer the full functionality present in the m:IQ solution. As a result, bookmark syncing is not supported on BlackBerry phones.
m:IQ only supports syncing one calendar at this time. If there are multiple calendars are on the Blackberry, m:IQ syncs from the calendar with the most events. If possible, you should remove calendars that you are not actively using. We are currently working on a solution to this but don’t have a resolution at this time.
There have been some large changes made between Android 2.1 and 2.2, especially in regard to calendar sync. We are currently working on making the application compatible but do not support 2.2 at this time.
If you think some of your contacts may be missing on the m:IQ website, please check that these contacts are associated with your “My Contacts” category in your Google account.
If you have assigned multiple reminders to an event, m:IQ will only sync one of those reminders. It picks the newest one you have created, the last one on the list within the event.
m:IQ does not sync calendars that are “read only”. For example, you might have access to view a significant others' calendar. That will not sync to m:IQ. Only the calendars from your phone's primary account will sync to m:IQ. m:IQ does not sync Exchange calendars.
There is a Google calendar bug that causes synchronization to fail on events before 1970. If you create an event on the phone or within your Google calendar that has a start date before 1970 (ex. a birthday or anniversary) Google calendar sync on the phone will attempt to sync the item and fail. It will retry continuously, making the phone hot and draining the battery. Delete the event from Google Calendar first. Then to get rid of the event on the phone, you will need to to to Settings > Manage Applications > Menu > Filter > All > Calendar Storage > Clear.
There is a 20 MB limit on media uploads. This translates to videos that are, roughly, longer than a minute in length.
You will need to change your Settings to set your media save destination to your SD card memory instead of the phones internal memory.
If you restore your phone and text messages sync back down, the time within the message app on your phone will be shown as the current time. If you click on an individual message to view it, the correct time will be there, and will show up once you return to the main list.
There is an Android bug that causes all text messages to disappear from your phone. You can read about it here: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=5669.
A soft reset of the phone will resolve this.
Previous installations of the Dashwire client must be removed before installing the m:IQ client.
Text messages may not upload when received on Windows Mobile phones when the client is first installed. If you experience this just restart the phone.
Some users are finding that the cab file is only partially downloading, causing install of the m:IQ app to fail. This can be solved by clearing your phone's browsing history and cookies, then re-downloading the application. Directions are detailed below, please note that instructions may vary slightly depending on the phone, but the important thing is that the history and cookies are cleared.
Ensure that you have downloaded the application onto your actual phone memory and not an external storage card, as the mobile client will not run properly from an external location. Unfortunately, in some cases the application will still fail to launch. We have found this to be an issue primarily on non-US phones. We have not yet found a solution to this problem.
