What We Collect

The data that we regularly collect about visitors to the Site (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages accessed, duration of visit, etc.) does not necessarily enable us to personally identify you, and that is not our intention. Automated-Collection Information

To facilitate your use of the m:IQ Service, Best Buy may automatically collect certain types of information when you access or use the m:IQ Service. For example, in order to provide you with the m:IQ Service, we may collect information about your mobile device (e.g., phone number, type, serial number, operating systems), the version of the Dashwire software you are using (e.g., type and version), and about your use of the m:IQ Service (e.g., time-stamped log of data exchanges). In order to collect this data, Best Buy may utilize software and other automated tools and files such as “cookies.” These automated tools and files may reside on our servers or on your computer or device. If you disable our ability to use automated tools and files, your ability to access and use all or part of the m:IQ Service may be limited or disabled completely.

Use of Information

Best Buy uses your personally identifiable information primarily to provide you with the m:IQ Service and to provide customized content on the m:IQ Service that is of interest to you. The information is also used to verify your authority to access the m:IQ Service and to contact you when reasonably necessary. Best Buy may also use any information you have provided as reasonably necessary to administer or provide customer support for the m:IQ Service.

Disclosure

There are a number of separate products and services offered by third parties advertised by us on our site and through the m:IQ Service that may be complementary to your use of miqlive.com (e.g., applications purchased for your phone). These product providers are not given your personal information without your permission.

Best Buy may also contract with various third parties who help us provide and maintain the m:IQ Service. For example, we use a third party for data storage and may subcontract out production, fulfillment, or other operations. In the event that you place an order through the m:IQ Service, your credit card information will be encrypted using SSL technology before being transmitted over the internet. Because any other personally identifiable information you submit to Best Buy is purely voluntary and should not be of a particularly sensitive nature, we employ our standard security measures with respect to this information and do not use special encryption methods at this time. m:IQ user accounts are secured by user-created passwords and HTTPs when signing in.

Please note that Best Buy cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise the security of user information at any time.

Public Forums

Best Buy may make available to users chat rooms, forums, message boards, and other interactive features. Any information disclosed in these areas, or otherwise submitted to Best Buy for publication, becomes public information, and for that reason is no longer covered by the terms of this Privacy Policy. Use extreme caution when disclosing personal information through any of the above-mentioned communication mechanisms.

Collection of Information From Children

Users must be 13 years of age or older to create an account. Neither Best Buy nor Dashwire has any interest in collecting information from persons under 13 years of age.

Accessing, Reviewing and Changing Your Personal Information

Best Buy offers you the ability to review and change certain of the information you submit to us by logging into the Site and accessing account settings. Upon your request, we will deactivate your account, and remove your personal information from our active databases. To make this request, email .
